Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
