Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
