The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Concerning what are they disputing? 1 (It is) of the awful tidings, 2 concerning which they are in disagreement! 3 But they will soon come to know. 4 Again surely yes, they will soon come to know! 5 Have We not made the earth an even expanse? 6 and the mountains [its] pegs? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 And made your sleep a rest. 9 And have appointed the night as a cloak, 10 And the day for seeking livelihood. 11 We have built above you seven mighty heavens, 12 And have kept a very bright lamp in it. 13 and sent down abundant water from the clouds 14 That We may bring forth thereby corn and herbs, 15 And gardens of luxurious growth? 16 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] has indeed its appointed time: 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 and when the skies are opened and become [as wide-flung] gates; 19 And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage. 20 Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait 21 A place of resort for the inordinate, 22 They will abide therein for ages, 23 They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink 24 Save scalding water and corruption. 25 a befitting recompense for their deeds. 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 and they absolutely belied Our verses, 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 'Taste! We shall not increase you except in punishment' 30

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
