The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 you pay attention 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
