The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 and gently take it away; 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
