The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
