The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
