The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
