He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 to him thou attendest 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 And hath fear, 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 uplifted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 then eased his path for him, 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 olives, dates, 29 the densely tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 his wife and his children. 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
