He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 you attend to him, 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and who has fear of God, 9 Of him wast thou unmindful. 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 and then, whenever He wishes, He will raise him back to life. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 and let the earth to break open 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 Olives and dates, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 all this as a provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 with darkness overspread: 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
