The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
