Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
