Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble scribes 11 They know all that you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
