Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 The honourable recorders. 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
