Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
