Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
