Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble recorders, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
