Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
