۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should. 5 Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence). 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 His account shall presently be taken by an easy reckoning. 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 But he who is given his ledger from behind his back 10 Soon he will pray for death. 11 and he will enter the blazing flame. 12 Indeed he used to rejoice in his home. 13 he surely thought he would never revert. 14 Yea indeed! His Sustainer did see all that was in him! 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 The Night and its Homing; 17 And by the moon when she is at the full, 18 Surely ye shall ride layer upon layer. 19 What is wrong with them that they do not believe? 20 And that, when the Qur'an is read unto them, they prostrate not them-selves! ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 but God knows best whatever they accumulate in their hearts. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
