The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 As they sat around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
