The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
