The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
