The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And the promised day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
