The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
