The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
