Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
