The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
