The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
