Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 unfattening, unappeasing hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 In which are high thrones. 13 And goblets set at hand 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
