Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
