The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
