The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The event that terrifies the hearts! 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, 4 The mountains like the tufts of carded wool. 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 Will have a tranquil life; 7 But as for him whose deeds are light on the scales, 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 (It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely! 11
