۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 right before your very eyes? 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
