And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
