Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
