Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
