Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 You will be shown hell 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
