The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what sin she was killed 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 by the night swarming, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
