The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
