The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
