Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
