Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 closed around them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Almighty Allah's Truth.
