Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Hast thou seen him who cries lies to the Doom? 1 Behold, it is this [kind of man] that thrusts the orphan away, 2 and who does not urge the feeding of the poor? 3 So ruin is to those offerers of prayer – 4 Who are neglectful of their prayers, 5 Those who make a display (of their deeds). 6 And who withholds even common necessaries. 7
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
