Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
