Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
