Surely, God will not forgive the ascribing of partners to Him. He forgives whoever He will for anything other than that. Whoever ascribes partners to God has strayed far indeed. 116 Instead of Him they supplicate to none but females, and indeed they supplicate to none except the rebellious satan, 117 Allah cursed him. And he [Shaitan (Satan)] said: "I will take an appointed portion of your slaves; 118 And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss. 119 He gives them promises and excites vain desires in them; and the Shaitan does not promise them but to deceive. 120 These: their resort shall be Hell, and they shall not find therefrom an escape. 121 And those who believe and work righteous works, anon We shall make them enter Gardens whereunder the rivers flow, as abiders therein for ever: promise of Allah, true. And who is more truthful than Allah in speech? 122 Paradise is not [obtained] by your wishful thinking nor by that of the People of the Scripture. Whoever does a wrong will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides Allah a protector or a helper. 123 whereas anyone - be it man or woman - who does [whatever he can] of good deeds and is a believer withal, shall enter paradise, and shall not be wronged by as much as [would fill] the groove of a date-stone. 124 Who is better in religion than he who surrendereth his purpose to Allah while doing good (to men) and followeth the tradition of Abraham, the upright? Allah (Himself) chose Abraham for friend. 125 And Allah's is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; and of everything Allah is ever an Encompasser. 126
