We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
