Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
