▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for him who lived in awe of the sublimity of his Lord, there will be two gardens -- 46 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 47 Of spreading branches. 48 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 49 In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free); 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 In which will be of every fruit two kinds. 52 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 53 Reclining on beds, the inner coverings of which are of silk brocade; and the fruits of the two gardens shall be within reach. 54 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 55 Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 56 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 57 Like unto Rubies and coral. 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Is the reward of goodness aught but goodness? 60 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 63 two [gardens] of the deepest green. 64 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 65 therein two fountains of gushing water -- 66 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 67 In them are fruits (of all kinds), and dates and pomegranate. 68 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 69 In the midst of these will be maidens, good and comely. 70 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 71 with big, black and white beautiful eyes, dwelling in tents. 72 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 73 Undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- 74 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 75 Reclining upon cushions green and carpets beauteous. 76 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 77 Blest be the name of thine Lord, Owner Of Majesty and Beneficence! 78
