Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
